(Evanston, ILLINOIS) (Wednesday, September 20, 2023) — Synapse Health announced today Tim Frederick has joined the company’s senior leadership ranks as Chief Technology Officer.
Frederick comes to Synapse Health building on a career devoted to software product development, including roles in engineering management, product management, and program management at both startups and Fortune 500 companies. Most recently Frederick was head of the product engineering teams at Alto Pharmacy, a $1B retail and specialty pharmacy. Prior to that, he led engineering groups at Uber during the company’s hyper growth phase, including those focused on rating, tipping and global driver growth.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing Tim on board in a time of such exponential growth for our organization,” CEO Tony Kilgore said. “His experience with product development, background in the healthcare industry and investment in our mission pair well with our culture and where we are headed as a company. His leadership will undoubtedly be an asset for our technology teams.”
Frederick said he is eager to get plugged into the organization and referenced his commitment to its mission, vision and values.
“What really excites me about Synapse is that it is in a unique position to fix one of the most broken parts of our healthcare system and improve the experience of patients, prescribers, providers and payors collectively,” Frederick said. “In early conversations I connected with the vision and saw that the senior leaders have assembled a talented team to achieve it. I can’t wait to get up to speed and help realize the impact that technology can have on this problem.”
Frederick said as he gets up to speed, he’s excited to dive into driving execution of the organization’s vision, growing the product and technology team, and meeting with prescribers, partners and stakeholders to better understand their needs.
